Like always, conference was wonderful. Saturday morning session, I especially liked the messages of Elder Perry- ('The Best is yet to be' -to remain positive and optimistic, and to lead a simplified lifestyle.), Elder Neil L. Anderson- ('You don't know everything, but you know enough' -Faith is not only a feeling, it is a decision), Elder Uchtdorf- ('The Infinite Power of Hope'...beautifully delivered), Saturday Afternoon Session: Elder Wirthlin, ("Come What May, and LOVE it, and the Importance of Laughter in Adversity"), Elder Christofferson (ZION -Unity, Godliness & Charity- it was humbling), Elder Bednar (Steps to More Meaningful Prayers -he is always sooo great at laying it out), Sunday Morning Session: Sis. Dalton -(In The Strength of the Lord I Can Do ALL things -Virtue, and are we being poisened by degrees...first tolerating, than accepting and then embracing the things of the world? I loved this address. And President Monson on Change....This is our one and ONLY chance at mortal lives, it is brief...find joy in the journey NOW...Relish life as you live it -don't focus on what is missing, but what is ABUNDANT in our lives. To have an attitude of thankfulness. very inspiring.
And I loved the primary choir...made me cry. That was the one time Bodie and Brock stopped and attentively listened and sang along.
After the Sunday afternoon session we went on a family bike ride. We rode up and down the streets of our quaint neighborhood, and down one of our favorite streets that leads to a dead end. We stopped to talk to a lady in front of her house (Jess has been keeping an eye on it in case it goes on the market) It was a nice little visit. She gave me a tour of the home and we exchanged numbers) Then we came home to make hot chocolate -tis the season! -FALL is here in full force.
Goals this week:
-Get all my dusting done
-Get the boys' room organized!
-Have quality time w/ each of the boys.
-Have meaningful prayers.
Looking forward to:
-Seeing family at Grandad's funeral (It will be bittersweet)
(HAPPY B-DAY TO MY SISTA SHELLY!)
