Today we got a special treat...
Photobucket

Nana & Papa came up (and brought lunch!) for Nana's b-day. Crystal Creek Sandwiches were had. Yum - It's been awhile. (Why? I ask myself) Complete w/ every kind of chip, grapes and soda. Kiddos = pretty much in heaven, each w/ their own bag! (If you can't tell in the picture) :)

The boys & I made chocolate cupcakes w/ butter cream + cream cheese frosting (creamy) topped w/ jelly bellies. Kona girl helped herself to these babies while we were gone...SIX to be exact. I better not find barf.

The boys of course had fun riding their bikes to and from and around the park.

And Papa had fun watching.

Happy Birthday Nana - L O V E you.

Wednesday, October 1

Marilyn came up Monday morning to make cookies with the boys.
(Aren't they sooooooo lucky?)
They made javalinas, cactus, howling coyotes & spiders, oh my!

Thanks for the custom-made rolling pins Papa!!!

(Marilyn had her thinking cap on and came up w/ *delecious* pre-made dough)
Looks like Wyatt was more interested in eating it.

This was the icing & sprinkle station. Aparantly Wyatt just liked to eat the sprinkles. (surprised?)

Those look like javalinas, cactus, howling coyotes to me! (no spiders in that batch.)

Plated

MMM. They were good! They are gone. Does that happen at your house too!?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANA!

Today is this bad mamajama's b-day. I love her.
For her b-day she took us girlies to the Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City. So generous.
And now she is keeping Katie company on her drive back to Cali...

And she sure knows how to give one heck of a 'rat'!

:) funny!

At one of the shows...

I will always love Marilyn for her easy going nature, (although she can freak me out sometimes w/ what she worries about!) AND her ability to make up new words!! :)

Thursday, May 15

About 2 weeks ago Nana brought me up some geraniums and helped me pot them. We also got pansies and planted them in front of the porch...

Then she came up again today and brought me some lattice for my clematis (they are so grateful and happy) and iris from her garden to plant by the rose & current bush. Love it!

She also came up to give me an introductory class on the Cuisinart she got me for my b-day... We made pizza, salsa & salad in a little over an hour!!! I love this kitchen appliance!! The possibilities are endless, and I will never get over it's chopping & slicing capabilities!

AND we planted a little garden in the backyard....Cherry tomatoes, snow peas & squash... and a few flowers (which I've already forgotten the names). Hopefully I can keep everything alive and they will flourish!

The bottom right picture is of the poppies out front - They look like an ugly weed, but are so beautiful when they bloom! And they are getting close!

It was a wonderfully fun day and I'm so glad Marilyn is willing to help me with all of this gardening because it is something I am really enjoying and I wouldn't know how to go about it by myself!!!
