I never thought I'd see the day when these hot momma's would walk the streets of downtown Flagstaff, together. It was a sight to behold. :)

So much so, in fact, that these are the only pictures I snapped. :(

I had a great time - and Holly really said it all best on her blog. I don't even know where to start...but that it feels so good to still have friends you have a 'history' with. It's so easy to pick up where you left off, no matter how much time has passed.

They also indulged me, and watched as I played for the first time in front of a "crowd". It was a fun experience... the perfect low-key place to "get my feet wet" and now be open to playing different places instead of instantly putting thoughts out of my head. It was a little "rough", but it feels good to have jumped over that first hurdle!

Goals this week:
-keep on top of housework. -so far so good! I think we're going to have to adopt a family 'tradition' of spending 15min. together each night picking all the toys up and putting things away... oh, most of you already do this!? I know, I feel like I'm just now figuring all these things out...
-I have a "crafty" project that I have an idea for, but I'm pretty sure I'll have to call for reinforcements. Hopefully, I'll get that started.
-Get in to see the chiropractor again...I had 2 ribs out of place that he fixed last week (don't ask me how I managed that one -but it had been bothering me for months)-and a super tight lower back, due to super tight buttox /hips that hurt like crazy to get worked out. I wanted to laugh and scream in pain at the same time. So ya, for some reason I'm ready for that again.
-Organize my closet. I need the hubby on board for that one...I'd like another rod and shelf put up, please. (probably not gonna happen this week) But I can still organize!
-Get taxes taken care of! We were soooo on top of it last year!
-Figure something out for Jess's b-day and our anniversary next week... I can't believe it's already NEXT WEEK.... I can only take things 1 week at a time. I am usually always stumped as what to get Jess...any ideas I WOULD LOVE...although, I just thought of something...we'll see.

Looking Forward To:
-lunch w/ a friend
-visiting teachers coming
-warm(er) weather
-snow skiing (maybe)
-being w/ my boys. -Today was a GOOD day.

I really had the best time... Live theater is so much fun. We saw 3 plays which were all delightful:
Cyrano de Bergerac (my favorite!), Fiddler on the Roof, and the Two Gentleman of Verona.
All the actors were sooo great...and I loved how intimate the outdoor theater was.

This was at one of the green shows...I was into the clapping. And our group before Cyrano. Marilyn, me, Jana, Katie, Merna.

Miss Makeely joined us on the trip too! I finally was able to make her smile on the drive home!

We met my sister for lunch in St. George. That was a nice treat to see & visit w/ her!

The playbills (?), and set.

We also got to visit w/ a friend of Marilyn's and Merna's in St. George while shopping at the outlets.

soooo cute.

It was a great week - it went by really fast w/ Jess being gone. I think it gets easier and easier, which is awesome -but I think I was mostly excited for my weekend. That's what got me through.

Vegas was really, really fun and a FAST drive. It was good to connect with women. I really need that in my life. It's so comforting to know that there are people going through the same things, and so nice to laugh about so many similarities. It feels good to open up, and have people open up to you. But I honestly don't know how we kept talking non-stop for so long! Only women. :)
Something I failed to mention. We were seriously in our 'own bubble'. I think we spent at least 45 min. in Nordstrom after getting our makeup done at MAC posing in front of the mirrors in the shoe dept. and taking pictures - oblivious to our surroundings and eyes of bystanders... WHO DOES THAT? We do.

It is so good to have Jess home! I missed him. We have a friend who is going to be renting our back shop...Not sure for how long, but it should be good. Interesting at the least. We cleaned out the shop yesterday... That feels good!!! Most things are still looking for a home though. :) We'll finish it up today.

Goals this week:
-Get stuff I want to sell on Craig's List or Ebay - don't know how to do that.
-Take donations to Goodwill
-Keep my voice calm and sweet with my chillins (boys)
-Wash all the fingerprints off the chairs and appliances
-Take the boys to the pool.
-Get to bed by 10pm

Saturday, January 26

I had a really, really FABULOUS week with these galsEven though this picture pretty much sums up our trip! R A I N! :)Movies, shopping, food...
and good company - what more could a girl ask for?
There was also a Martin guitar open house thing that we went to and were able to check out the beautiful, amazing guitars. This guitar would retail in the $8,000 range! - There was one there that was $100,000. - I didn't dare breathe on it.
This is me not looking forward to running that morning, but I got over it real quick...because this is where I ran - and I actually had a bit of sunshine...(I'll leave out the part where my MIL pointed down the beach and said "See that pier, I'll be in the parking lot" - Little did she know there were a few Estuaries depositing into the ocean between us and the pier! :D) It was a fun adventure. - I guess I didn't leave that part out after all. :) It was funny.
I am in L O V E with this jacket. Ahhhhhh. I obviously had to take a picture. Who does that?
It is late January and the leaves are still changing color and falling...
Wish we were on the beach for this one - We didn't see much sun this trip - not that it slowed us down any!
So fun. Miss you already Auntie! Thanks for being an amazing hostess.

To top off the week, I came home to a clean house (I left it a wreck), my two year old out of diapers, & my man folding laundry. So, I suppose it really IS possible to do it all and do it well - you just have to be male.
