Getting their 'exercise' in

They crack me up. Especially when I hear them ask each other if they want to go workout/do their exercises. :) I hope they always have a love of exercise.

I love spying on my kiddos. They make good times happen. :)

Weekend at Nana's

The boys had a great time playing outside in the gorgeous weather and playing some games indoors as well.

Papa was a trooper and played 'memory' w/ the boys until his head hurt! :) Not to mention he held down the fort while Nana and I went to the Adult Session of Stake Conference. AND kept the kiddos safe from the pack of Javelenas that came through the property!! (We saw them on our way home and hurried to grab the boys to tell them the javalena were down the street... they had already seen them, but we piled everyone in the car to take another look) Exciting night, peeps!

Poor dog. The things she deals with.

Often times when we stay down, everyone ends up piling in Nana's bed in the morning. I love it. Here she is reading them a story on her kindle. I started feeling 'yucky' mid-day and was able to sleep the ENTIRE afternoon and then Marilyn sent me on my way with the fixin's for SOUP.

I am thankful for loving hands and hearts that help me heal! Nothing sleep and soup can't cure! Yummy. Find this recipe HERE or a similar version HERE.

October flew by (like this entire year has!)

Few pics from the past month-

I took the boys up to Snowbowl after school one day to see the fall colors. (Such a pretty drive) The Aspen's were gorgeous!

Man, it was chilly then! We've had such a warm week this past week and it's been SOOOOOOO welcomed! I've been wearing SHORTS people! :)

Brock cracks me up.

Nana & Papa came up again for the boys' Primary Program. They did an awesome job. Afterwards we came home for lunch and Papa busted out the picture books to look at with the boys. This is one of their favorite things to do.

Homework time! Brock actually likes this. He's a cheeser.

Bodie used to like it... not so much anymore. He's putting on a happy face here. :)

Pre-Halloween festivities: Carving the pumpkin.
We only got to one this year. They thought the insides were pretty gross. :) Bodie carved this one all by himself! (Probably because Brock didn't really care to, and I wouldn't let Wyatt near the little carving tools! He's crazy.)

AT THE TRUNK or TREAT-
Brock: Vampire/Count Dracula; Bodie: motox racer; Wyatt: Ghost

My parents came to the trunk or treat and surprised the boys. It was pretty funny. It took them a minute to compute that they were seeing Grandma...as a WITCH. (she has been every year since I can remember. LOVE it!)

Saturday, October 2

Enjoying some lunch, outside on a beautiful fall day. On the menu: Homemade Chicken Nuggets, celery, carrots and some sauce for dipping.

100% kid tested and approved!!!

I am so excited about this recipe! Find it HERE.

End of Summer days...

The boys found this fabric and felt inspired to make capes.

Brock really thought his cape was going to make him fly. (Just like he thought the plastic bag would act as a parachute when jumping off the top of the TV) BUT...

this time it DID. :)

"Growing Chickens"

the boys thought they could grow chickens if they planted eggs...
not toooooooooooooo far off. :)

2010-2011 school year.
First Day.

The boys were all pretty excited. The morning went off w/out a hitch, even with Dad going off to work....for the next. four. days! I can do it. :)

Bodie is in 1st grade, Brock Kindergarten, and Wyatt preschool M-Th.

I'm going to be teaching at NAU again this semester- in the mornings, so I am pretty excited to get into the groove of things. I think it's going to be a great schedule for all of us. School starts next week- so I'll be working my tail off getting it together this week!

I love these individual pictures. So telling of their personalities!
