himself and taking his diaper off (no matter where we are)...usually when he has 'bizness' to take care of. He has been going to the toilet quite a bit (just to stand and say pee pee) so I am rolling with it.
Yep. Here he is telling me, "Poo poo." and pointing to it. *All picture taking stopped at this point.*
Lovely.
Last night we got a babysitter and went to a wedding reception. It was nice to enjoy the evening w/ Jess kid free. It was outside and we were both freezing - so he kept me close - it was fun to feel 'young & in love again' ...but I'm still young (right?)
Jess left to Vegas today w/ some guys on the Fire Dept. for a Union Conference. Way to start his light duty off! (He's not going to be able to go back to 'full duty' for awhile) Anyway - I had scheduled the missionaries to come for dinner, not realizing Jess was leaving today - But it worked out cuz Ryan ended up eating with us. They're a fun pair of missionaires! It was a good dinner. We BBQed pork chops, and I sauteed up some squash from the garden w/ garlic, onions,
corn, and tomatoes from Cottonwood. Mmm. -Along w/ a big green salad w/ kidney beans, basil tomato feta cheese, tomatoes and craisins. All the fresh veggies tasted really good. We were talking about companionships - and one of the Elder's said something like - hopefully marriage is cake compared to some companionships...At least in marriage you know it's for eternity so you're more committed, whereas a companionship you know it's gonna be done with in 6 wks... I just laughed and was like - um. NO - I'll be the first to tell you marriage is hard. -But it is great to feel that commitment. - There have been times where if I were dating Jess (as in a h.s. relationship)- I would've said - alrighty, I'm over this relationship - but it's much, much different when you're married & know you're in it for eternity. (I'm not sure they knew how to take that comment - but I think they'll understand one day) Hopefully!! Anyway. It was sad though. They think 28 is really old! But I remember thinking that too when I was their age- Funny how your perspective changes!
So after dinner I took the boys & Kona on a walk -Bodie & Brock rode their bikes and I had Wyatt in a stroller. It was beautiful out - It had rained quite a bit today, but the sun had come back out (almost setting) and everything was wet & green & smelled yummy. A neighbor girl joined us...We didn't get too far before Brock was lagging and didn't want to go any further, so we turned around and headed back home to get the double stroller so we could go back out. Well - of course all the tires were flat...but we finally got it up and running - just before it got dark...so we went on a short walk - but it was still fun. I think we're going to have to start doing that nightly while this weather lasts!!!
Goals this week:
-Go to spinning & yoga & take evening walks
-Take care of 'work' for clients
-Go shopping for Brock's b-day (he's gonna be THREE!)
-Plan his b-day party - you're all invited. (Nice how I'm planning it 5 days before. We're simple people.)
-Get some bank issues wrapped up
-Go to Bodie's orientation for pre-school.
-Get ready for my voice solo in Church. grrrr. I get too nervous in my old age.
Looking forward to:
- Taking a couples engagement photos. I love that people think I can take photos. Seriously. I was like - "Sure...um - I'm NOT a photographer by any means - but I'll do it and then let ya know who can take them for real!"
- Getting together with a lady to play guitar! Should be interesting - Not sure what's gonna come of it, but it should be fun.
-Brock's b-day!!
- Filming a wedding (reception mostly) -but I'm going to the temple too. Again - I don't know where people get these ideas - but I was like -"Sure - I've never done that... but I can TOTALLY do it (talking myself into it at the same time) I figure if I don't charge anything -there can't be any pressure! Oh funny. I really hope it turns out though.

Your boys must have gotten the 'diaper removal' gene! Seems like Brock was the same way, right? Your missionary dinner sounded wonderful. Nothing like fresh grilled veggies. We are trying to eat more salads, fruit and veggies - and less meat. Great goals - wishing you much success. Love you. mom
Cute! Wy is looking so grown up in those photos! Have a good week!
the diaper thing is so funny! walker doesnt try to take his off very often, but he DOES tell me when he's stinky!!!!
voice solo for you, piano solo for me this sunday! good luck to us both!!!! :)
See, you did it again! (see my comment in the memory lane post)I love your comment about marriage. It is so true, there are some days that commitment holds a marriage together and that is all. But that commitment allows other days to happen, like the days that make your knees weak at the sight of the one you are commited to. Beautiful perspective Sara.
Anissa- Good luck - I love piano solos! I wish I could hear it!
Jen- You just put into words EXACTLY what I meant - and exactly how I wanted to say it - but couldn't!! Thanks.
